What do you do?

Fidgeting at the many ways the human experience can be explained and encapsulated. Like every other member of Mula Zine, I get my nails dirty from many aspects of making within the collective and for my own self. Writing, providing creative direction input, standing behind viewfinders, and brainstorming among other things

Why do you do what you do and how do you convince people that you love what you do?

I admire attempts of trying but fail to see how it is necessary. When doing what you enjoy is exercised enough, it becomes one with the way of living itself. More often, the work produced speak for themselves.

What’s your birth chart and which one do you resonate most with?

I was born in the morning on February 19th = The 22nd day of Shawwal in the year of the Tiger.

What’s your best skill, and one skill that you wish you had?

My best skill is perseverance and I wish to practice more of it in approaches towards all things

What’s a quintessential signature you that many can be familiar with?

In the work that I construct, I unapologetically display the deterioration and celebration of human life through my interpersonal experience as a young Malaysian questioning and living in the Now Now. It is not contrasting to what is being done by many other Malaysians intergenerationally, the only difference is in the perspectives.

How did you get to where you are now and what were some of the fall backs that you had to go through?

I know that where I am at now is an uncomfortably comfortable position where my mortal self longs for more. Fallbacks are daily happenings since even when things seem to float on, we sometimes misplace our cardholder and keys. When the pattern isn’t cursed but celebrated, it can practice the individual to become better at resolving and executing what needs to be done when it needs doing. With that, I just do and do.

What’s your favorite photo in your gallery and why?

Every photo. Especially the hidden ones, Because.

What’s your pet peeve?

Pass.

Describe to us what your ideal collaboration and client is. Also, who would you want to work with?

Working with institutions, independent brands or people that own a strong sense of individual identity while being able to meet in the middle at a common ground core of respect towards each others’ values and ideas. I do not succumb myself to designated descriptions as I display my conclusive humanness through making and have since been heavily involved with poetry writing and reciting even before I was called to do them at events. I also performed and documented myself in front of the camera to spill milk on my body, as a man or to paint myself blue at an age before I even knew the names to the methods of expression I was executing. By preference, I would like to experiment, experience and involve myself more on any and every creative exploration in all it’s faces with those as mad about it as I am. Wouldn’t you?

How should one approach you to working together?

Set intentions straight towards the message they would like to convey or ask of me with a psyche injected subject title through e-mail to calltimeatnine@gmail.com. On Instant Gram: messages, proposals and collaborations can be sent to @bihnti.
